The table below shows the temperature of ocean water in degrees Celsius at different depths in meters: Which scatter plot best represents the data in the table? Depth (meters) 0 500 1,000 1,500 2,000 2,500 3,000 3,500 4,000 Temperature (degrees Celsius) 23.5 12 6 4.2 4 3.8 3 2.8 2 Which scatter plot best represents the data in the table?

Two groups of students were asked how far they lived from their school. The table below shows the distances in miles: Group A (distance in miles) 1 1.5 3 3.2 2.8 1.5 1.8 2.5 2.2 Group B (distance in miles) 2 2.5 3.2 3 1.8 2.4 3 1.5 1.8 Which statement best compares the mean distances for the two groups? It is equal for Group A and Group B. It is greater for Group B than Group A. Its value for Group A is double its value for Group B. Its value for Group B is double its value for Group A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last two will write u a testimonial @Data_LG2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one do u want me to do first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i will help with the 2 one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not A i already tried that one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i figured

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i thought it was C but im just double checking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i think tahts the answer is c too how many tryies do you have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know i have 25 questions i have to do but i have only 5 more i have to do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Data_LG2 could u help with the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one are doing right now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 2 one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the 2nd one, I suggest you calculate for the mean of each group. Add the given data for each and divide them by the number of data. So for group A: (1+ 1.5+3+3.2 +2.8 +1.5 +1.8+2.5+2.2)/9 Do the same thing for Group B. Then compare the values that you will get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me what you will get to make sure you're getting it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oky @Data_LG2 you can help with th 2 one i will help with the 1 one okay is tat fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A 17.54 B 19.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure? I got different values. Did you add those nine values and divide it by 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are too big for the data. let's do it manually then :) what is 1+ 1.5+3+3.2+2.8+1.5+1.8+2.5+2.2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

19.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, now divide it by 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh its 2.16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :) can you do the same thing for group B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay right. Compare the value for group A and Group B, while looking at the choices. let me check.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

question are u suposed to find the corect graph that equals to the question or lined up at the same place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the 1 one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so one that is constant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gotchaa okay then this is ganna be easy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes u are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its either B or D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sarimari do u mind helping on 3 more after this or too much?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am thinking that B is the correct one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ill go with that one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would love too but i get out of school in like 5 minutes or so cause i gatta go to the dentist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks for ur help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i can help u with at least 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks ill post a new one
