What value of z makes the equation true?
2.5 = –6.19 + z
OpenStudy (anonymous):
just the -6.19 so that z is by itself.

but remember that when you move something to another side, the sign changes.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so:
2.5 = –6.19 + z
first step is to move 6.19 to other side, and the sign changes
2.5 + 6.19 = z
and then add 2.5 and 6.19 and you will have your answer.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
8.69 is the answer
8.69 = z
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok tell me if you are looking this up on the computer
