HELP PLEASE!!!!! Which term describes the example below? A white cat has a mother that is homozygous dominant and a father that is homozygous recessive. A. homozygous dominant B. homozygous recessive C. heterozygous D. female E. male

OpenStudy (jacobyboykin2398):

A.homozygous dominant

OpenStudy (callielovesyhuu):

they would all be hetero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it were homozygous dominant, it would mean that both parents would be dominant (i.e. genes would be AA, AA, AA, AA) in a Punnet square. In heterozygous, the genes in a punnet square go (Aa, Aa, Aa, Aa). This shows a recessive and dominant gene combined. Therefore, Callie is right. It's an example of heterozygous.
