I strongly believe that with my experience at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush University Medical Center, Affiliated Radiologists, SC has provided me with what you are looking for. I am self motivated, always with a positive attitude and a person who sets and meets her goals. I believe that I am a good candidate for this position. I am also bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. Well experienced in the medical office/hospital and registration setting,duties. I have 11 years experience working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) along side with many physicians from Emergency Medicine to Outpatient Radiology and Breast Imaging. I am currently working at Affiliated Radiologists, SC as an Account Analyst. My duties include collections, denials, insurance verification, charity care, pre authorization as well as appeals for all the professional charges. I work on credentialing for our physicians to keep their privileges current, IL License, DEA, HFS, CMS on going for all radiologists. I create the monthly schedule for the ER on-call doctors as well as obtaining signatures for the practice keeping them updated with pension plans, medical insurance, professional fund and Execucare. I have been at Rush University Medical Center for three years and most of my experience is from NMH. I started working at NMH in the Emergency Registration department, was promoted to Senior Patient Financial Services Associate in 6 months supervising the third shift staff. My duties in the ER where to register patients, collect payments, certified for eligibility with insurances always with accuracy and in a timely manner. I also crossed trained in the bed-assignment department and would cover as needed. Hospital admissions for both transplant and psych patients became another duty when those offices were closed. Transferring to the Breast Imaging Center continue with my medical/clerical and supervisory experience at NMH. In the Lynn Sage Breast Center, I was a Senior Customer Service Coordinator for the front desk, supervising the front desk. My duties were to schedule and check-in patient for mammograms and interventional radiology appointments. I would average of 50-65 patients per day. Verifying doctor’s order as well as all demographics including insurance. I also was crossed trained as a assistant tech to the Radiologist. Daily scheduling for the front desk and Rads techs as I would approve and find coverage for PTO time. As a tech I was responsible for preparing cases, assembling cases the the radiologist to read (previous mammograms as well as reports) unloading into the PACs system. I would also give referring physicians results and recommendations on abnormal mammograms for their patients. Assist the radiologist and patient during their appointment. We would average 300 screening mammograms on a daily basis. In the Breast Center I took on the responsibility to learn and work the online Fax Server, I put in place a standard filing system for all of are online faxes for upcoming appointments and trained the department on it. Second opinions and outside reads were my expertise. Sensitivity to patients and there needs is a strong characteristic I’ve adapted to, making sure the patient feels comfortable in the organization. Looks great, I would remove the parts about self-motivated and positive attitude. The reason being it that the person looking at the resumes has probably sees the same phrases many times per day. The rest is perfect :) Good Luck.
