These sentences are similarly constructed, but only one contains a restrictive clause. The commas have been omitted to eliminate any clues. Which sentence contains a restrictive clause? My cousin who lives in New Jersey is a senior in college. Edgar Allan Poe who wrote "The Raven" is a great American poet. That piece of chocolate cake which probably has a million calories in it was delicious. He reads and studies maps for fun which is no exaggeration!

cant give direct answers, so i guide you to it. first, a restrictive clause is "a clause which functions as an adjective to identify the word it modifies. A restrictive clause is essential for the intended meaning. A restrictive clause is not offset with commas. For example: The boy *who broke the window* is at the door. (The shaded text is a restrictive clause. It describes The boy. More importantly though, it identifies the boy. It is not just additional information. It is essential for understanding.)"
