Will ran 3.23 km the first week and 4.15 km the second week. Chuck ran 8.75 km in two weeks. Round each distance Will and Chuck ran to the nearest tenth of a kilometer. Then estimate. About how much farther did Chuck run than Will?
A. about 1.1 km B. about 1.2 km C. about 1.3 km D. about 1.4 km
Have you tried dividing Chuck's distance by two?
... no I multiplied ._. woops
4.375?
Yea, sorry, Math isn't my strong suit.
same here.
@Embryo
would it be D? I might be wrong..

Srry, it was on my clipboard, thought I copied something else.
I want to say D, but im bad at decimals
Will ran 3.23 km the first week and 4.15 km the second week. how far did Will run in all?
a decimal is just a point that lines everyting up, its nice to line things up when adding and subtracting
7.38
for example : 123 + 18 if i dont line up the correct placement i get 123 18 ----- 303 which is just absurd lol
so 7.38 is how much diffrent then 8.85?
** then 8.75
its 1.37 greater
lets chk that 7.38 1.37 correct ----- 8.75
we want to rnd now, 30 37 40 37 is closer to 40 then 30 right
correct
then whats our solution?
1.30 but you don't use the 0, so it c, thanks for the help!
um, we saw that 1.37 is closer to 1.40
woops, I derped. XD so its 40, we takeaway and its 4 and that's 1.4 so its d.
yeah, lets go with D :)
thank you!
