Help with probability A spinner has 14 equal sectors with different letters for each sector, as shown below: Victoria spins the spinner 18 times, and it stops at the letter B 10 times. If she spins the spinner a 19th time, what is the theoretical probability that this time it will stop at the letter B?

i know that the theroretical probability = number of favorable outcomes/total number of possible outcomes so....is it 1/14?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is 1/14?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if i flip a fair coin 200, times and get 199 tails ... whats the probability of getting a head on the next flip? each flip is 1/2 so the previous flips really dont mean a thing.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

1/14 is fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thank you!
