Your school wants a simple random sample of 50 students from the junior class at the school. Which of the following will produce the simple random sample? A. Choose two U.S history classes (assuming that all juniors take U.S. history). B. Give each student in the junior class a number and use a random number generator to select 50 students C. Select the first 50 juniors to arrive at school at one given day D. Choose 50 students at random from those at lunch in the school cafeteria E. Randomly select 5 students from each of the junior English classes (assume all juniors take junior English)
a simple random sample is a sample in which the entire population has an equal chance of being selected.
other than that, no one in my class was able to answer any SRS questions correctly :)
So would it be B then because each student in the junior class was given a number and a random number generator selected 50 students since everyone in the junior class has an equal chance of being selected?
no one, no of us, not even me ... could figure out the SRS questions :) but i would agree with the random number one yes
oh ok, thanks
