jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this page may provide the answer. I'm not 100% sure, but I have a good feeling of it http://dissertation.laerd.com/stratified-random-sampling.php look at the "Advantages of stratified random sampling" section on the last page

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

ok thanks, i think its to collect data systematically but I'm not positive

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no, it says it's done to reduce bias and to make the sample more representative so that's what I'm thinking the answer is

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

oh its to eliminate bias? i thought it was between C and E

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I found this page http://stattrek.com/survey-research/stratified-sampling.aspx which offers a comparison of the two methods

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

ok thanks, based on what i read i think I'm going to go with C

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well I'm still thinking D but you could be right

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

I got it right :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry about that lol, I guess I mixed up something else, idk
