I have noticed that some new users and not completely aware with the medal system. I am thinking that they think that medaling other users will deduct their own medals.

I want to assure you that your medals will not go down if you medal a user. So if I have 15 medals, and I medal Jess, I will still have 15 medals and Jess will have +1 medal's from me :)

yeah, no, its a free medal system, but DO NOT medal spam. that is bad! you will get in trouble

Good tip for new users! I have seen a few new OpenStudiers who are unfamiliar with the Medal System, so this would be good for our "hatchlings!"

New users should definitely be aware of the medal feature. Yesterday I was on my alt and I replied to a question. That was the first question I replied to. Immediately after I hit post a pop up came showing an owl pointing to the best response button and a paragraph about the medal feature.

when i signed up for open study, i honestly though i would loose medals. that's' why you see so many new people never medal other users :P cause i'm sure they think they will loose the medals that they already have.... unlike brainly, your points go away anytime you post a question

@CallMeKiki Medal spamming, what i image is when a user, or the same person, medals their questions, and the questions they have answered, getting free medals. totally unfair to those who worked hard for their medals or trophies
