OpenStudy (sepeario):

Could someone please help me develop some ideas for this prompt: "In relationships, it is often difficult to be an individual." Much appreciated!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

INDIVIDUAL noun 1. a single human being, as distinguished from a group. 2. a person: a strange individual. 3. a distinct, indivisible entity; a single thing, being, instance, or item. ONLY ONE D:!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

RELATIONSHIP noun 1. a connection, association, or involvement. 2. connection between persons by blood or marriage. 3. an emotional or other connection between people: the relationship between teachers and students. 4. a sexual involvement; affair. USUALLY INVOLVES 2 or MORE D:

OpenStudy (sepeario):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a relationship (being with another person/couple/2!), it is often difficult to be an individual (alone, single, solitary)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since you are in a relationship(meaning that someone cares for you), it is often difficult to be alone because someone is always taking care of you :O!?

OpenStudy (sepeario):

But no the prompt is asking why it is difficult to be an individual WITHIN the relationship, and not individual as in alone, but a person, so why is it difficult for a person to sustain a relationship.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what I understand is "in a relationship" being part of one, it is often hard to be an individual (inside a relationship). Well you can define words differently resulting in different answers for the prompt. It's right as long as you can prove your idea and so on.
