Hi Nicole, Welcome to OpenStudy! :D Would you mind asking this in the math section, please? Just simply go here http://prntscr.com/72izhr and ask that question in the right section!
Hello @Nicole...<3maturn ! and Welcome to OpenStudy! It seems that you might have copy pasted your question incorrectly and is currently missing some information - (6 servings calls for _?_ cups of butter) anyways, you can get a much better and faster answer by asking your question in the Mathematics section as Rainbow_Dashie. has wonderfully explained :) but while I'm here, here is how you can solve your problem ^_^ this is based on equivalent ratios the ratio of the 6 servings to its cups of butter needed is equal to the ratio of 8 servings to its cups of butter needed... so we can get something like \[\frac{ 6 }{ (given~number~of~cups~of~butter) }=\frac{ 8 }{ (answer) }\]from there you can try to solve for your answer :)
