OpenStudy (ryanwhite499):

Why do we need oxygen: Because it help us breathe

OpenStudy (ryanwhite499):

Why are they so small? What purpose is that for?: We will not be able to see oxygen air because of our naked eye

OpenStudy (ryanwhite499):

What’s happening within the mesh of capillaries and blood vessels wrapped around?:It gives rise to the body's connective tissues, blood cells, and blood vessels

OpenStudy (ryanwhite499):

What is their function? What kinds of nutrients get absorbed? Why are they so small?:the tunica externa of blood vessels running through the dermis contains collagenous and elastic fibers that run out from the vessel and into the irregular connective tissue of the dermis; this connects the vessel to the skin. This continuation of connective tissue from the blood vessels into the surrounding area holds the blood vessels in place. But, because the tunica externa is simply a layer of connective tissue, it remains relatively thin.
