Mathematics 11 Online
OpenStudy (garrettmuz15):

ine WX contains (-1, 2) and (4, 12) Line YZ contains points (-5, 8) and (2, -6). Lines WX and YZ are A. Perpendicular because the slopes are the same. B. Parallel because the product of the slopes is -1. C. Perpendicular because the product of the slopes is -1. D. Parallel because the slopes are the same

OpenStudy (aripotta):

you gotta find the slope for each line \[\large m= \frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]

OpenStudy (garrettmuz15):

Yes ik but can u give me ur best answer my answer was A but im not sure if its correct

OpenStudy (garrettmuz15):

@AriPotta

OpenStudy (aripotta):

a is not the answer. perpendicular lines don't have the same slope. once you find the slopes, the answer should be clear

OpenStudy (aripotta):

actually, this is weird. i got 2 for line WX and -2 for line YZ...so it's not parallel nor perpendicular..

OpenStudy (aripotta):

do you to school online? if so, i think you should email your teacher about this one. there is no correct answer

OpenStudy (garrettmuz15):

Thankyou and it was d which is weird i didnt think it would be that but i guessed and got d
