I think I misread the question
We are trying to find 7% of a number and then subtracting it.
I just wanted to know how i would take out 7% of a number. For example, 7% out of $100
just do 0.07 x 100

or per say if you were to run into a number like 387 do 0.07 x 387
ahh so i would have 27.09 left over from 387?
yes 7% of 387 would be 27.09
so if you were to subtract 7% from 387 you would subtract 27.09 from 387
