Which statement is true for the equation 3n − 7 = 3n − 6? It has no solution. It has one solution. It has two solutions. It has infinitely many solutions.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI again!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\(x\) is a variable, so it can be anything, but whatever it is on the left, it is the same on the right there is no way to subtract 6 from a number and get the same answer if you subtract 7 from that same number !

OpenStudy (misty1212):

so there is not any solution subtracting six from a number is not the same as subtracting seven from it

Thank you
