A set of equations is given below: Equation R: y = 5x + 10 Equation S: y = 5x + 5 Which of the following options is true about the solution to the given set of equations? No solution One solution Two solutions Infinite solutions

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Please help me will give medal !

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

Im pretty sure it's infinite solution but need someone to confirm

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\(x\) is a variable so it can by any number but whatever it is it is the same on the left and on the right of \[5x+10=5x+5\] it is not possible to add five to a number and get the same answer if you add ten

OpenStudy (misty1212):

adding five is not adding ten and vice versa, there is no solution to this if you graphed them you would have parallel lines

OpenStudy (kitkat1):

okay thank you will u be able to help me with one more another medal!
