We started the canal in 1904 which was a very hard procedure. Engineers and laborers had to survive with a jungle-filled mountainous region with high temperatures, unstable soil, rocks, and numerous tropical rainfalls. We had to have a dam built to stop the flooding water from when it rained. They came across diseases while working such as malaria and yellow fever. this is part of my project
