Stats help please?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

I. A linear model appears to be a good fit. II. The variables are positively associated III. The variables are negatively associated A. I only B. II only C. III only D. I and II only E. II and III only

OpenStudy (kropot72):

We must assume that both axes of the graph have linear scales. A straight line can be drawn which has about as many points on one side of it as the other. So do you think that a linear model applies?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

@perl i think its D. I and II but can i get your opinion please?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

If a regression line has a positive gradient ( as one variable gets larger so does the other) then the data are said to be positively correlated.

OpenStudy (perl):

yes i agree

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

ok thanks!
