OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Can somebody help me? I don't know what to do

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Sketch a graph of a tidal range as a function of time, showing what you think the shape of a tidal cycle might look like for one month. On your graph, indicate where you think each phase of the moon occurs.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@rational

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I know that high tides are at the full and new moon and that the low tides are at the first and third quarter moon.. I just don't know what value to put for the max and min

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think of trig function

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

that doesn't really help..

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@dan815 @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@dan815 can you please come help?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Hi, @haydentroy!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey :)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Can you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i honestly have no idea how i would do that

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

yeah.. nobody's helping :( oh, and I added you to a group on fb

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@mathmate @phi

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you first start with a graph, or at least some data to make a graph ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i personally have no idea what a tidal graph would look like ... if its based on something as subjective as my own imagination .... its might as well look like y=x

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I thought it looked like a cosine function... or sine.... I don't know which one

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@amistre64
