The initial area is 3300 km^2
Each year the area is decreased by 3.25% (of the previous).
So at the end of the first year, the area is 3300*(1-0.0325)=3300*(.9675)
At the end of the second year, the remaining area is 0.9675 of the previous year, i.e.
= 3300*(0.9675)^2
