OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

If v = <-5, 2> and w = <-1, -2> , then the projection of v onto w is:

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

\[\frac{ 1 }{ ||w||^2 }(-1,-2)\]

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

\[\frac{ 1 }{ ||\sqrt5||^2 }(-1,-2)\]

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

(-1/5i,-2/5j)

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

@rational does this look right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you use the \[(\frac{ v.w }{ ||w||^2 })w\]

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

yes I did skipped showing the steps for v*w because it was just 5-4=1
