I ignore users like that. I get hate mail but I come up with optimistic, somewhat sarcastic replies. They're just people over the internet, I don't really care what they have to say.

Reporting spam posts is always the right thing to do. I don't care about what they think. I just reply then ignore.

My typical reply to that type of message:

FYI, that was a spam post. I think you would know what 1+1 is, unless you aren't 13+ like the rules of this site state. If you want to ask trivial questions like that, ask the chats. There will be people willing to help you solve that! Not on a post for high school questions.
