What is the proper role of government in times of economic crisis? Consider these questions as you think about your answer: Should the government do any of the following? Provide assistance to individuals Assist businesses that hire thousands of people Make new laws dealing with the causes of the crisis Let the markets rise and fall on their own
any ideas?
I think that government should offer there assistance to those in need.
They could do a better job of spending the money they have. Get more bang for the buck in other words. Let me give an example here: If you can hire a non union construction firm to build a building for $100,000....and the quote from the union construction outfit was $150,000....which one would you chose? Well, according to Obama...all of these big construction projects MUST be completed by union laborers. Who says they have to? The answer....He does. Although the common sense way to do things would be to hire the equally qualified non union people who MUST perform well to keep their job, Obama and his crew don't see it like that. And why you ask???? Because of all the union money that comes into the Democratic campaign funds. Today's POLITICIANS pander to special interest groups all the time....but the reason they do so is because it is to THEIR INTEREST to do so. This applies to both Democrats and Republicans. Maybe its time we start looking seriously about just putting plain common sense working people in charge of this country. I would be happy to volunteer by services as a person shopper fot the White House kitchen. Sorry, no more caviar.
