So I have a poem I'd like to share, but I'm new to OpenStudy, so I'm kinda nervous. But I'll do it anyway.
We're burning up inside. Clinging onto each others' tragedies, apologizing to each other for what the world has decided to throw at our young bodies and minds. The incidents of mankind, happening to the youth who never thought of this when playing with their Barbie dolls. Emotions. Ruining our eyesights, clouding us from seeing the truth. We were happy once. Was it today, or last year? How do we know, with our minds being twisted; the world is vomiting words and images at us. We lose our sense of love faster than we can say "virginity," cuz that's normal now; running around like lost chickens with their heads cut off. Only a few survive the slaughterhouse. So much for our stories being told; so much for anonymity, not a privilege we have anymore. Our throats are raw from keeping in our thoughts. Our tongues burn from the toothpaste-mint words we spit at the world. Emotions. They're being bottled up inside. On accident? Perhaps. Crazy is in right now, and boy, we love to follow that fad. It's better than eating our own hearts out. ...Right?
