Question

The plagiarism that I see in both the Music and Writing sections are out of the roof. Is there a way to stop that, like a pop-up of the sorts stating the explicit rules? It's becoming an everyday problem now.

I agree i see plagerism all over the site taking credit for people's work is NOT okay. People need to learn to give credit if they don't there should be no warning for that they should get suspended they should know better than to take credit of others work.

Sometimes i suspect that some of the tutorials are also plagerized...i would know because a user who doesn't know exponents AT ALL ends up writing a 6 page tutorials on exponents if they are using the web they should cite sources but thats crazy how people get 30 medals for plagerized work

There will always be users who will break the rules. Even if there was such a pop-up rule, they would simply ignore it as they have ignored the continuous rule posts made in Music and how they have ignored the Code of Conduct [and possible the Terms of Service].

Many posts have been made, and many suggestions such as this one to have a rule post at the top of each section as a sticky note and/or implemented into the Code of Conduct. A lot of these offenders claim is that it isn't in the Code of Conduct, so there is no rule stating that we are not allowed to do that.

But, if the users do not want to comply with the rules, the only thing that can fix this behavior is to suspend them each time for a longer time until they comply with the rules. They should get the point that OpenStudy will not take it easy against repeated offenders.

You have brought up a lot of good points. However, if we have more moderators on at the same time 24/7 then it would help reduce the spam and trolling on the site a lot faster.

Though I think it is sad that all these bad users are getting attention and yet no one seems to notice how many good trustworthy users there are.
I think if there was an award system for users who constantly help others,
people would care more about having a good reputation.

We should get an option next to the report button to choose a way to define users.

there should be four options and you can only choose one.

- effort
- Teamwork
- support
- helpful

This way the users on here can define other users.

An award system? It's been suggested many times, but people have decided that people will only feel left out, and some users can get a title that was not rightfully earned, and there is already a goal set for users...to get to 99ss, and possibly get the 100ss that @satellite73 has. xD
