I think we should appreciate users for their hard-work and dedication. This makes the user feel nice and makes the user to work more hard. For this we must make a separate section. Really it does encourage the user. The person will feel honored.

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

I think favouring users is wrong. -it hurts feelings -people feel left out -causes chaos

rvc (rvc):

i see many users not being appreciated for their work

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Also a seperate section for this isnt needed :/ what would you post? This would end up turning into a medal party

rvc (rvc):

Also getting SS like 90 and 99 we must appreciate them

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

We make congrats posts .-.

rvc (rvc):

and our dear moderator closes them :P

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Preetha allows congrats posts if a mod closes it then tell Preetha :P

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I made a similar post like this @rvc http://openstudy.com/users/jagr2713#/updates/5521e9e1e4b0715801033cc6

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

I don't think this is necessary. If you want someone to know that their work is appreciated, you can make them a congratulatory post, message them, fan them, and give them medals for their work. I don't think an entire section needs to be created for this.

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

^that is what im saying :P

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

But @rvc you are right SOME mods close them.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

rvc (rvc):

well no need for a section But as @jagr2713 said earlier we must award titles to the users

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Well wht if the users who also are great helpers end up not getting one?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Everyone is a great helper there should not be something special for every user

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

If you want to appreciate them you can also give them OwlBucks

rvc (rvc):

i see but i see users who come everyday to the site and help ppl

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

If we did awards for EVERYTHING then we would have ones for this. Best Fascist Dictator: Adolf Hitler.”

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Favoritism can also happen..

thomaster (thomaster):

Hmm. I'm thinking a premium chatbox that can only be accessed by users above a certain smartscore :P The OS Club chat, free of spam and trolls But yea like all these ideas, they end up in the suggestion box which never get looked at ever again.

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

another post ruined smh

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

How was it ruined?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

@vera_ewing But yea like all these ideas, they end up in the suggestion box which never get looked at ever again.

rvc (rvc):

well @kidrah69 that is the work of mods and ambis to see that they are not being partial

rvc (rvc):

well It makes a lot of difference when users are appreciated for their work

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

i know it feels gr8 :) a simple thanks can make someones day :)

rvc (rvc):

Yeah right @kidrah69

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

sarcasm or agreement?

rvc (rvc):

@thomaster what do you feel?

rvc (rvc):

It encourages the user Well making posts for the user is not a big deal

thomaster (thomaster):

Well if a certain user helps you all the time and you want to thank them. You can post an appreciation post in the feedback group. Make sure to have a good story, just a simple thank you will most likely get deleted by mods. Tell why you appreciate their help, for example if you have passed a big test you were studying for. We don't have problems with that, that's what the feedback group is for. But don't thank everyone for everything, that way the feedback group will be spammed with congratulation and thankyou posts.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

So no one sees my suggestions in the suggestion box any more?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

LOL

thomaster (thomaster):

Well if it's in the suggestion box on google docs I made last year, they'll probably look at that sometime. It's all ideas combined, instead of the countless suggestions that float around in the feedback group.
