Can someone help me write a hook for a Romeo and juliet essay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The topic is whether or not Romeo and Juliet should be included in the ninth grade curriculum. I've said it should be included because it has many timeless universal themes pertaining to teens and it teaches valuable literary skills.

@quickthing

OpenStudy (quickthing):

O I love Romeo and Juliet lol

OpenStudy (quickthing):

You just need the hook?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. i was also told i can't include personal things like i think or in my opinion (if that makes a difference)

OpenStudy (quickthing):

You can't write in first person then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya. i just have to state it like a fact. Romeo and Juliet should be included.

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Okay. How about

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Let me think for a minute

OpenStudy (quickthing):

How would you feel if classics you enjoyed as a child such as Animal Farm or 1983 were excluded from your son or daughter's English class?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOOHHH i like that one. then you could create a bridge that connects it to your thesis like some people feel the Modern English used in Shakespeare's plays creates an irrelevant piece of literature in todays society and what to remove Romeo and Juliet from the ninth grade curriculum.

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Yes. It's important to include classic literature in ninth grade English classes because they provide students with insight on what life was like in ancient times.

Hi DominantVampire. Thanks for joining us.

OpenStudy (dominantvampire):

Aside from romantic love in Romeo and Juliet we are shown many others. Love for family, parents, honor, her nurse. Love for God (in religion) love for relatives. Some love in doing the wrong thing (going against their parents in loving their families enemy) Being in love with love. Love of being young. Love of wanting peace (the priest). Her parents love of good standing in the community etc. Now some of these are good and some loves are bad (not in this story but as an example vanity) OR How about putting the good bit in your explanatory sentence into the actual sentence: William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” contains many different representations of love, some of which represent simple infatuation, and others which have more emotional depth.

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Dang, you're good.

OpenStudy (dominantvampire):

would that be enough?

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Listen to Vampire, ignore me.

OpenStudy (quickthing):

For the sake of your essay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think what you wrote is gooood but i have to use evidence from the 4 (pelletty) springboard articles given to me which is why this is difficult.

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Romance has been the subject of many tales since the dawn of time, and yet the most well known would have to be the romantic tragedy of two star-crossed lovers. Romeo and Juliet has captivated audiences for ages the names themselves have been immortalized with the concept of true love. Unfortunately, this love continually fights for its very existence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the help :)

OpenStudy (dominantvampire):
