Medal will be given. The prism shown here is made from centimeter cubes. Find the lateral and surface area of the prism. http://prntscr.com/73ub5y
@deana99
@matlee
what is \[P_{b}\]
perimeter of the base
nvm odnt use that calculator
ill find a better one
lateral area is 70
94cm^2 surface area
I know what the surface area is 94cm squared
sorry if its wrong am not good at goemetry
okay and how did you get the lateral
i used that calculator i gave you
LATERAL = sides meaning all sides EXCLUDING the base
3+3+4+4 and H=5
okay
jdoe gots this
what would the equation be @jdoe0001
notice the picture here a prism is just 6 rectangles stacked up to each other at teh edges thus, just find the area of each of those, and sum it up in this case is "lateral", so get the area of everyone BUT the base and sum them up
so the base is 4 which is excluded and the length and width is 5 and 3 which equals 8
you're not being asked for the "volume" the "lateral area" so... just grab each rectangle making up the prism and get its area, and then sum them all up all excluding the base in this case and surely you know to find the area of a rectangle is LxW
5*3=15
