What is a node?

Thank you in advance.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

In Electronic Engineering a node is a connecting point, there is basically two types. The simple node has one input and one output, a complex node has more than just these two.

Its an intersection of different entities, you can have a node in electrical circuits that is described as the point where the currents from the different branches intersect or as in mechanical you may see it as where the forces intersect at that point and even in heat transfer where nodes are placed to find the temperature on a sheet due to the surrounding temperatures. Nodes relate different or similar values based on what is being observed.
