MEDEL AND FAN please help Feudalism was a system based on loyalty and service. Explain who was at the top of the feudalism pyramid and how loyalty and service were exchanged with the people below. Also describe what the people on top gave in exchange for that service and loyalty.
The structure of the feudal system was like a pyramid, where the king was at the apex (point at the top) and the villeins or peasants (common people) of the country were at the base. In between the two were several groups of people who were a vassal to those directly above meaning that they swore loyalty to them. Each group of people were granted land and protection by those above in return for services.
The Vikings were a force to be reckoned with and were known for pillaging and raiding. In the year 911, Charles the Simple changed their course in history. What did Charles the Simple do with Vikings living in Northern France and what did this mean for future Vikings?
