The Toronto Zoo has decided to build a Giant Ocean Tank to exhibit more than 600 different species and more than 20 000 tropical animals. The zoo management had decided to use a cost effective way to create the aquarium. They have two ideas:
One idea is to use a cylindrical enclosure similar to the New England Aquarium in Boston. The dimensions are 12.2m in diameter by 7m in height.The second idea is rectangular in shape. The dimensions are 11.3m in length, 7m in height and 10m in depth. Find the surface area and volume for both plans.
