@naturesweetie  Think of it this way.  More spikes = more cell membrane.  Cell membranes is what all things have to make it through.  They are like a mesh door that lets some things through but others have to go through with help.  Now, think of a door that is open.  The open space is like the cell membrane.  If we have two doors open, one 3 feet wide and the other 30 feet wide, and 100,000 people had to make it through, which would allow more people through in the same amount of time? 3 feet wide door or 30 feet wide door?
