Help!!

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

How many seats are there in each class?

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

this is a systems of equations question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is a simple ratio of 131313 to 555, so you can say 131313x = 555y, and that 360360360 = 131313x + 555y, from here it is simple work.

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

wtf?

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

oops i messed up writing the question sry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cmon, it's not that hard

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

A plane has 360 total seats, which are divided into economy class and business class. For every 13 seats in economy class, there are 5 seats in business class.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok, ha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So now the equations would be 13x = 5y and 13x + 5y = 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 0 = -13x + 5y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And if you add the equations together... you would get 5x = 360, x = 72,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now u do the rest
