You have $5 for lunch. You bought a turkey sandwich for $2.25. Write and solve an inequality to show how much more you can spend. I know the answer can ive me the correct way to write the formula. Does anyone know how to write this as and inequality formula?

\[$5.00-$2.25=$2.75\] So you would be able to buy another sandwich so you would have brought two sandwiches and you would have 50 cents left.

OpenStudy (vianne):

$5.00 - $2.25 = $2.75. You buy another one, $2.25 - $2.75 = $0.50. You bought 2 sandwiches, and have 50 cents left.

OpenStudy (vianne):

The formula in my head is (Total Money Currently) - (Cost Of Item) = (Left Over) Then you repeat the same steps.

thank you
