~PLEASE CHECK~VOLUME OF A CYLINDER~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tylermcmullen23 @iGreen @rational @SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

the cylinder has a radius of 5, and height of 12. |dw:1431440629872:dw|

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

roughly speaking, there are 12 circles (piled up on top of each other). So you need to find the area of one of the circles (all circles are the same, obviously), and then multiply the area of one of the circles times 12.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

what is the area of the circle? (Use \({\rm A}=\pi {\rm r}^2\) )

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

or, same way you can just use the formula without conceptualizing it. \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle {\rm A}_{\rm~cylinder}={\rm height} \times \pi \times ({\rm radius})^2 }\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is 942 lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

942

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i get a fan and a medal plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you are correct
