B) they rejected the Supreme Court’s decision by popular vote. C) the Supreme Court made desegregation voluntary. D) they decided to close down their schools rather than desegregate.

They were also forbidden from carrying weapons in public places and working in certain occupations. Significance: Segregation Begins - Public schools were segregated, and Blacks were in there own school with other blacks
