A cookie company uses one cup of sugar for every 20 cookies it makes. Let S represent the total number of cups of sugar used, and let N represent the number of cookies made. Write an equation relating S to N , and then graph your equation using the axes below.

i was able to graph it just fine now I need to make an equation

@BloomLocke367

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

well you know that 1 cup of sugar, makes 20 cookies

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I really don't know how to explain this without giving a direct answer

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

but um, with that, you know that \(S=20N\). do you see why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's like I have an idea and I know it's not hard at all but yeah the variable are throwing me off when it comes to writing the equation out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i pretty much wrote 1S = 20N

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

that's the same thing, it's just that you don't need to show the 1, because it's understood to be there. :) so good job

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok haha I was thinking I needed to put in like slope intercept form or something ahaha thank you =)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

that is in slope-intercept form XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant I thought I would have to do more to put it in the form lol

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

oh c:
