WILL MEDAL THE FIRST TO HELP ME OUT THE QUESTION IS DOWN BELOW Maria has the following scores on exams in her social studies class: 86, 75, 97, 58, 94, and 58. a. Find the mean, median, and mode of the scores. b. Should Maria’s social studies teacher use the mean, median, or mode of the exam scores to convince Maria that she needs to study more regularly for her exams?
Hello :)
Let's start of with defining
Mean is just another word for average Median is the number in the middle once you alight them numerically Mode is the number that is repeated most
For the mean grab all the percentages and add them together then divide them by the amount of percentages
Mean after adding all of the percentages and dividing them by 6 (number of percentages) we get 78
Mean = 78
By just looking at it we can tell that the only percentage that repeats is 58 Meaning that the mode it 58
Mode=58
Median you can find out yourself :) Here are the number in numerical order 58,58,75,86,94,97
For part b She should use the mean because this is an average, the rest only pic one number. To convince Maria she needs to show her not that she just did bad on two test but that her entire testing average is a 78. She should consider to find time to study.
Bye :)
