(b+3)(b+5)/(b+5) cancel like terms top and bottom=(b+3) so b= -3 exclude b= -5 as this would make division by zero which is not allowed

but what about the 8b

the top factors in the two brackets multiply the brackets you will see the 8b is taken care of
