Which group of words is a sentence fragment? A. Wolves will eat rabbits, mice, and even fish if they have to. B. When a wolf is happy, it wags its whole tail. C. Though some wolves are loners, others move in packs. D. When a wolf wags only the tip of its tail. i thinks its d but idk

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

Think about D for a moment. "When a wolf wags only the tip of its tail...." It's not telling what happens while a wolf wags the tip of it's tail which in turn is leaving the reader trying to figure out what happens when a wolf wags the tip of its tail. So you are correct. It is indeed D.

thx

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

@Queenrae99 My Doodle. You are the first person I have seen on OS to say "indeed." I think we could be friends!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

You're welcome!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

@KyanTheDoodle I wish people would say indeed more often! It's a wonderful but sadly very ignored word.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

That gives me the most wonderful idea! We should start an indeed club!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

Yes! Every week we could celebrate the glory of the word Indeed!

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Indeed! I'll go call up my 99er friends!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

I will be waiting patiently!

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

They're not interested. Oh well! I'm sure a club can be managed by 2 people!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

What a shame. You are INDEED correct! We can run the club on our own!

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Haha! Then from this day forth, this Indeed Club has been born!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

Indeed my friend! Indeed!

OpenStudy (queenrae99):

You are correct! It is C. The reason being that C did not finish telling what will happen when the flowers have bloomed early.
