Which circles have a circumference of 22π units? Choose all answers that are correct. A.a circle with a radius of 6 units B.a circle with a radius of 12 units C.a circle with a diameter of 12 units D.a circle with a diameter of 24 units
I thought this is what you would do to figure the problem out.. Im so confused Somebody want to help!!?! well, to find circumference of a circle, you use 2πr. so 2πr=22π which means 2r=22, so divide by 2 and see the radius is 11. now to find the area. you need the formula πr^2. so π11^2=121π as the area
@Kayla369
This answer is in terms of pi. Formula is correct, but then just make sure that you convert the diameter units to radius. We know that 11x2=22, so is there is a radius of 11 found?
I thought it would be 11, but the choices don't match..
If you have a diameter of 12 inches, what would be the radius? \[r = diameter \div 2\]
so 6
No. I am sorry I thought 12 was 22.
Yes, none of them seem to make any sense.
what would it be if we substituted 22 with 24??
???
Can you take a snap shot of the problem? I would like to see the original one.
or scan ??
@Kayla369 may be able to im trying to help her out this is her problem
lol ok heres the original one Which circles have a circumference of 24π units? Choose all answers that are correct. A.a circle with a radius of 6 units B.a circle with a radius of 12 units C.a circle with a diameter of 12 units D.a circle with a diameter of 24 units i had accidentally read it wrong n put 22 not 24 so i fixed it
@Loser66
b
um you can choose more than one is there any others????
@Loser66
d
NVM some one else got it for me :)
