this isn't school related medal + fan cause yeah lol Question: whenever I start writing a story I feel like in my bones that I have to write it I soon loose interest. I don't know I just start and it's like I become so lazy that I don't write it at all. Any tips on how to stop this? I personally think I have a great imagination and I'm just throwing it all to waste. I also think it might have to do with the fact that I can't stop telling myself that I suck or that everyone is better than me.

I believe that it was once said that, when it comes to writing, dedication is a greater friend in the long run than inspiration. So, perhaps, when you get a story idea, sit down and plot it out. Let the original idea out, then steel yourself for the torturous work of bringing it to fruition. If you're actually interested in a class or textbook, I recommend "learn to write the novel way." It essentially makes you write a novel in 12 weeks. It may not be the greatest thing you've ever written, but at least it makes you finish and you have that sense of completion to build upon. Been there, done that, now on my third novel :) So, basically, that's my long winded two cents on the matter.

I actually do plot it out. I even make this whole outline with the story line, setting, characters and their physical appearance and personality. It usually takes me days on that. When I write I write for hours but then I'll stop and never look back, I don't understand. I love writing.

Try instead of writing down your ideas, record you saying them so that way you can then instead of fleshing out all of the nitty gritty details right away you can get the main ideas you have out then later on you can flash them out more

That's not a bad idea. Thanks!
