the devs when they created the site should have connected the accounts to something other than your username like IP or email
that way the username could be dynamic
sort of like social media..

It's like an email. Once you make an email, you can not change what the email address is.

For example if you make the email random@gmail.com

you can not change the name of that email to whatever you now want. :P
