HI!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i can give you the answer they want, but the question makes no sense i will tell you but i would like to know where the question came from

OpenStudy (misty1212):

please tell me then i will tell you the answer they are looking for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's from my online class @misty1212

OpenStudy (misty1212):

not trying to be troublesome, the answer they want is \[\sqrt{\sqrt{5}^2+4^2}=\sqrt{5+16}=\sqrt{21}\] but the question is really really wrong

OpenStudy (misty1212):

what on line class? FLVS?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

amazing huh?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

you know the tangent, so you know the lengths of the sides!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay :) thanks girl. @misty1212

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[\color\magenta\heartsuit\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

yeah you are talking about because the legs don't necessarily have to be sqrt(5) and 4 it could be k*sqrt(5) and k*4 where k>0 which would mean the hyp is \[\sqrt{5k^2+16k^2}=\sqrt{21k^2}=\sqrt{21} k\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks! @freckles
