Please help with Voltage Divider Question!

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

OpenStudy (shamim):

Voltage difference v=10-4=?volt

OpenStudy (shamim):

Total resistance R=30+60=90 ohm

OpenStudy (shamim):

Use v=IR I=?

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

I think that gives I as 66.7 mA is this right please?

OpenStudy (shamim):

Yes!!! U r right!

OpenStudy (shamim):

Now V1=IR1=?

OpenStudy (shamim):

V2=IR2=?

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Great thank you V1 = 4V V2 = 2 V

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Does this make Vo=2V as well?

OpenStudy (radar):

Use the same reference as has been used for the voltages (10 V and 4 V) given in the problem. Doing so will give you 6 Volts for Vo
