when did i lose the ability
to breathe in my own body
its like I'm underwater
gasping for air
but i choke instead
I'm under the blankets
smothering myself
its like I’m the one
covering my own mouth
I'm desperate for air
but I'm breathing through a straw
how does it feel
to breathe normally again?
it seems i've forgotten
