Some trig questions? Check my answers!?
8. Identify the middle line for the function: f (t) = 5sec(3t − pi) + 1. A. y = 3 B. y = 2----- C. y = 1 D. y = 0 10. Determine the quadrant when the terminal side of the angle lies according to the following conditions: sin (t) < 0, csc (t) > 0. A.Quadrant II---- B.Quadrant IV C.Quadrant I D. Quadrant III 17. Identify the beginning of a sample period for the function: f (t) = 4sec(3t −6pi). A. x=2pi--- B.x=pi C.x=1 D. x= 2pi/3 23. Find a positive angle less than one revolution around the unit circle that is co-terminal with the given angle: -40° A. 40---- B.120 C.220 D.320 18. For the given function, state the amplitude and the maximum output for the function: ƒ(t) = −3cos(t). A.The amplitude is 3 and the maximum value is y = 6. B.The amplitude is 3 and the maximum value is y = 3.--- C.The amplitude is 6 and the maximum value is y = 3. D.The amplitude is 6 and the maximum value is y = 6.
Buhaha! Silly kitty! You get off of that hamburger! c: Hmm secant normally has a mid line of y=0. So +1 should do what to that? Not bring it up to y=2.
Hmm question 10 doesn't make sense. csc(t) = 1/sin(t) Sine and cosecant will always share the same sign. So you can't have sin(t) < 0 and csc(t) > 0 at the same time. Hmm maybe I"m forgetting something -_-
17 looks correct! c:
For #23, you need to spin your angle a full rotation. -40 + 360
18 looks correct \c:/
ok so these are my answers, 8. 3 23. 320
