points are set up like this (x,y)....so x = -6 and y = 4 to plot your points...start on the x line -- the one going vertical your origin is (0,0)....and since your x is -6, you will go 6 spaces to the LEFT......now move to the y line -- the one going up and down...now from point - 6, and since your next point is 4, then go up 4 spaces....that is where (-6,4) is located
