Lets see, first of all they have to apply.

#2, they have to get picked. Heck, iGreen got rejected. :P

#3, most people who will pay to get help would be people with tough questions such as Calc questions. And as @jigglypuff314 says, a QH should have at least taken Calc 1 to became a QH :P

becasue you could easily answer all algebra 1/geometry questions and get a lot of medals and 99ss pretty fast but when it comes to answering HARD math like the ones ganeshie and perl and dan choose to do..thats what makes you a qualified helper...qualified for harder math

actually- dan, Michele_Laino, and perl are some of our most active QHs
based on my notifications I've gotten for the QH questions, it has been dan doing the heavy lifting ;)
and out of the non moderator selections, I am personally probably the least "qualified" even with knowledge of both calc 1 and 2 >.> the rest of them are truly math masters ^_^
